Armenia is situated in the southern Caucasus, bordered by Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey. Yerevan in the capital city of Armenia. According to the general census of 2003 the population of Armenia is 3,2 million, 1,1 million of which lives Yerevan. Climate and Temperature Armenia is usually referred to as a sunny. Its climate ranges from dry subtropical to cold. The summers are hot, the temperature fluctuates between +22C to +36C. The winters are short but cold, the temperature is between -15C to -1C. The mountain peaks are covered with eternal snow, while their slopes are lined by alpine meadows. The best time to visit Armenia is spring or autumn.

The official language of Armenia is Armenian. Besides Armenian, nearly everyone speaks Russian and many are communicating in English, too.

National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation's Visit to the University of Traditional Medicine

The National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA) carried out a systematic monitoring of quality assurance systems at the University of Traditional Medicine on January 19, 2011, according to the Government's decisions on “The Accreditation Procedure for Educational Institutions and their Specialties” and “Institutional Accreditation Standards”. During the monitoring visit, the ANQA representatives had meetings with the Rector and vice-rectors, the staff of the Quality Assurance Center, the faculty, as well as the students.
